I learned that people drive faster when listening to heavy metal and pop music than country music, ...

To contribute to that young person.... When I was young - in the 60s - I had a taxi ride in Singapore. We had 10 people in the cab which was totally illegal and were going about 10 miles. We noticed when we sang 100 bottle of beer on the wall slowly, the driver drove more slowly. When we sang faster, he drove faster. The people hiding on the floor keep singing faster and faster....

Thank you so much, it is wonderful to hear comments like this! I am happy that your girls have decided to cheer to help them with their confidence. Dance and cheerleading definitely helped myself as well as some of my closest friends; we still share the memories of our times spent together on the field, practice, and camp. Good luck this season and thank you again!

What a wonderful story! I can't wait to share it with my girls at the start of the season.
I have a very academic team,made up of several very shy girls who started cheering to help them build confidence.
We also have a few skeptical, who seem to be stuck in the stigma that cheerleaders are not serious athletes, and the sport won't lead you anywhere. Thanks for being such a positive role model for little girls out there and keep up the good work!

I knew Jennifer a few years ago, we worked together @ Eddies sports grill. She is a really amazing young woman. She deserves everything she gets in life and more! She is a real role model for young women every where, a real class act.

Wow. I'm male and I flunked the standard physics class in high school. I enjoyed learning the astronomy but when it got to the math, I got befuddled and my head spun really good! Physics is simply too mentally rigorous for me and I felt like a blockhead! This site presents copious evidence that beautiful women cheerleaders can have much greater intellectual ability than most men. I'm far from a Ph.d candidate because my thinking ability is much more limited. Congratulations, Rachel. Go for that Ph.d!
